PATNA: More than 400 police officers have been fired for violating the alcohol ban imposed by the state in Bihar, local media reported today.
According to news agency IANS, after dismissing the accused cops, authorities in the state have now initiated steps to confiscate their ill-gotten wealth.
As per report, over 100,000 have been jailed for violating the liquor law in the past two years.
The Grand Alliance government enforced total prohibition in April 2016 soon after winning the last 2015 assembly elections.
