PATNA: A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit eastern India on Wednesday morning, sending panic among the residents.
Tremors were also felt in parts of Bihar with the border districts experiencing maximum vibration.
Soon after experiencing the tremors, the residents ran out of their homes and took shelter at safe places. However, there were no reports of any damage or casualty.
One of the residents said he was sitting on the cot in his verandah when it suddenly started trembling.
“Initially, I didn’t understand anything but when I saw my co-villagers fleeing, I also ran out of my home,” a resident said.
