PATNA: Yet another schoolboy was kidnapped from Patna today, sending panic waves in the areas. This is the third kidnapping from the state capital in the past 20 days.
As per report, Jeyad Aarif, a class nine student was waiting for his school bus in the posh Patliputra locality of Patna when the motorcycle-borne kidnappers abducted him at gun-point.
Soon after kidnapping, the abductors demanded a ransom of Rs1.5 crore from the victim family and it was then that they came to know about the kidnapping.
Reports said Arif’s father was an engineer in Kuwait who retired only last year and settled in Patna.
Earlier on January 29, a UKG student Saubhav raj was kidnapped from the Jaganpura locality of the state capital. But thanks to the mounted pressures by the police, the six-year-old boy was recovered from Sonepur areas within few hours after his kidnapping.
On January 17, another student Raunak Kumar was kidnapped from Kumhrar locality of Patna and then killed by the kidnappers who had sought a ransom of Rs 25 lakh for his release.
