PATNA: A total of 34 candidates have jumped into the fray for the by-elections to three seats in Bihar. They include Araria LS seat and Jehanabad and Bhabua assembly seats.
While seven candidates have filed nominations for the Araria LS seat, 10 and 17 candidates have filed papers for Jehanabad and Bhabua seats respectively.
For the Grand Alliance, Araria LS seat and Jehanabad assembly seat have gone to the RJD while Bhabua seat has gone to the Congress quota.
Likewise, BJP has fielded its candidates for the Araria and Bhabua seats whereas Jehanabad seat has been spared for the JD-U which earlier announced to stay away from by-elections.
The polling will be held on March 11 whereas the counting of votes will be done March 14.
