Bihar villager files police complaint against ox, seeks ‘arrest’

PATNA: A man in Bihar has filed a written complaint against an ox after it attacked him and beat him on the ground, leaving him severely injured.

The bizarre incident took place Sahbajja village in eastern Bihar’s Purnia district on Tuesday.

According to reports in the local media, the youth identified as Dhiraj Kumar Yadav was going out of his home to meet nature’s call on Tuesday morning when the ox chased him and beat him on the ground.

He was rescued by local villagers after he raised an alarm and was admitted to  a local hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident, the victim registered a written complaint with the police seeking action against the animal and its owner.

Police said the youth withdrew his complaint later after reaching at a compromise with the opposite side.

“The youth had reached us demanding action against the animal and its owner but he has withdrawn his complaint now,” a local police official Chandan Kumar Thakur told the local media today.
