BJP feeling threatened from a 28-year-old youth: Tejashwi Yadav

PATNA: Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav today subtly rejected his ally, JD-U’s demand for resignation saying his tenure has been free from any controversies.

“Just look at my tenure. None can question at my functioning. I have done no wrong at all,” Tejashwi said replying to media’s queries after emerging out Cabinet meeting in Patna today.

He said his priority too is “zero tolerance” against corruption and he followed it in toto while in office.

He also took potshots at the BJP saying the saffron camp is feeling threatened by his presence.

“The BJP is feeling threatened from a 28-year-old youth. Earlier, it was scary of Lalu Prasad (his father), now it finds its existence in danger from me,” he rued.

He claimed all the corruption case against him was a part of deeper political conspiracy.

“The charges are fake, political,” he alleged.

Tejashwi who is son of RJD president Lalu Prasad has been named as an accused in a corruption case by the CBI which also raided his bungalow on Friday.

The scandal relates to acquiring landed properties in lieu of leasing out railway hotels to private parties and this took place while the RJD president Lalu Prasad was the federal railway minister.
