PATNA: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested one person from Gopalgnaj district in connection with recovery of high-intensity bombs from Bodh Gaya last month.
Reports quoting local media said the arrested youth identified as Mahfooz Alam was arrested from Khajoorbani village on Wednesday night after his suspected involvement in the case.
Very recently the police had arrested a suspected terrorist Bedarbakht alias Dhannu Raza allegedly working for LeT from Gopalganj.
Reports said a total of 33 persons are on the radar of the NIA in connection with the bomb recovery from Bodh Gaya.
Last month, security was beefed up in Bodh Gaya in Indian state of Bihar after two cane bombs of high intensity were found near the Buddhist pilgrimage site.
The bombs were found from the vicinity of the Kalachakra ground and near Mahabodhi temple, prompting the authorities to tighten security around the Buddha land.
Later, the recovered bombs were safely exploded on the sandy beds of Falgu river as experts failed to defuse them
