Cow vigilantes assault youths for carrying beef in Bihar

PATNA: Suspected cow vigilantes beat up two youths in Bihar on the suspicion of carrying beef.

The incident took place at Akorhi Gola market in Rohtas district on Wednesday.

Police said the youths were carrying meat on their bike when the mob of cow vigilantes stopped them and assaulted them badly, leaving them injured.

Police said the injured meat traders have been arrested and admitted to the local hospital.

The victims told the police that they brought the mat from Bikramganj butchery and were going for sale in the areas when the mob attacked them.
