PATNA: Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) president Jitan Ram Manjhi appears to be sailing on three boats at a time—NDA boat, RJD boat and his own boat. HAM is currently a constituent of the NDA.
Manjhi who is known for making contradictory and confusing statements every alternate day today again surprised his supporters by declaring that he would go it alone in both the next LS and assembly elections in Bihar.
“Whether anyone supports me or not but my party will go it alone both in the LS and assembly elections,” former chief minister Manjhi told a meeting of his party workers held in Tankuppa bock of Gaya district on Tuesday.
A couple of days back Manjhi had denied any rift in the NDA but soon demanded 50 seats for his party in the next assembly elections.
Prior to that, he had sent his emissary Brishen Patel, Bihar state president, to meet Lalu Prasad in Ranchi jail. Patel later met Prasad in the Ranchi court premises after he failed to meet the RJD president in jail.
