PATNA: A man from the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand beheaded a female school teacher on Tuesday noon and walked away with her severed head.
The horrible incident took place at Khaparsai primary school located in Saraikela district on Tuesday noon.
Police said the accused used to stare at the school teacher identified as Sukuru Hesa wherever she came for duty every day.
On Tuesday, the man called her out. However, as she came out, he attacked her with a sharp-edged dagger and chopped off her head.
After killing her, he walked away with her severed head in hand and roamed on the streets, causing panic in the areas. He was arrested after three hours of constant effort.
“After killing the teacher he had escaped towards the forest. Police chased him after the incident. Within a few hours, he was caught with the weapon and the victim’s head,” the local sub divisional police officer Avinash Kumar was quoted as saying in the Hindustan Times.
“The police are interrogating him. Prima-facie, the accused seems to be mentally challenged. However, the police are trying to find out the reason behind the murder,” the police officer added.
