PATNA: This is the power of music. Believe it or not, a woman whose survival chances had turned bleak came out of comma after listening violin music, media reports have said.
The woman, Sangeeta Das, 21, a resident of West Bengal, had gone into comma by the time her family members had admitted her to the local SSKM hospital in Kolkata.
Reports said finding her condition quite critical, the doctors suggested her family members to make her listen soft music.
Subsequently, the family members began playing N Rajam’s Raga Durbari Kanada. Much to their surprise, the patient came out of comma later.
Violin player Rajam has expressed happiness over the miracle.
“I can’t believe that my music has given life to someone. I have won many awards and earned much money but this is an entirely new experience to me. I am very happy,” she told the local media.
