PATNA: A labourer was allegedly thrown out of the fourth floor of a building in Bihar when he demanded his wages from the landowner, according to media reports.
The incident took place in Bakerganj locality of Patna on Wednesday night.
According to victim family members, the victim Cheena Das had gone to the landowner’s home to seek his wages so that he could visit his home during Durga Puja but the latter refused to oblige, leading to verbal duel.
During the quarrel, the labourer was allegedly thrown out of the roof as a result of which he sustained severe injuries in his head, victim family alleged.
He was soon rushed to the nearby Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) but succumbed to his injuries soon. The victim was a resident of Gaya district and was to leave for his village on the fateful night.
“The police are investigating the case,” a police official Ghulam Sarvar told the local media today.
