LJP MP says ‘insulted’, boycotts review meet of Nitish Kumar in Munger

PATNA: LJP MP from Munger Veena Devi today boycotted the meeting of chief minister Nitish Kumar after reportedly being disallowed to share dais with him.

As per reports in the local media, the MP who is wife of criminal-turned-politician Surajbhan Singh had gone to attend meeting of the chief minister held at Munger museum.

However, she got infuriated after not finding her seating arrangement made near the chief minister and left the venue in a huff.

She alleged she had come to raise the issues concerning the people of his constituency but was prevented from entering the meeting venue and was “insulted”.

“When I reached the venue, there was no place marked for me,” she was quoted as telling the media.

She has threatened to take up the matter with the union home minister. The LJP which is led by Ram Vilas Paswan is a constituent of the NDA.

The chief minister was in Munger on Tuesday to hold a review meeting with officials in course of state-wide “review tour”.
