Mathura (UP): Authorities are flummoxed after a man sought the birth certificate of Lord Krishna, one of the prominent Hindu Gods, as well as the proofs of his divinity.
The man Jainendra Kumar Gendle , a RTI activist from Chhattisgarh, sough a detailed and written information about the existence of Krishna after the nation observed one-day holiday on September 3 to mark His birthday.
“Please provide provide me with the official birth certificate of Krishna to prove He was born on the same day and also the proof of his Godliness,” the RTI activist has sought in a letter to the Mathura district administration,
In his letter, the man has also asked the authorities to give the residential address of the deity and the glimpses of his divinity (Braj Ki Leelas).
Authorities are puzzled over such questions asked by the man.
“The issue is related to public faith and sentiments. We don’t know what should be given in reply,” Mathura’s chief public information officer and ADM (Land and Order) Ramesh Chandra told the media today.
