PATNA: The ruling BJP is caught in a new trouble.
Even as the opposition parties enforced “Bharat Bandh” over the soaring fuel prices, its allies too are now opposing the price hike.
On Friday, the JD-U which is a key ally of BJP in Bihar asked the Prime Minister to take some urgent steps over the issue saying this conerned the common men.
“The poor are feeling the heat of price hike of petroleum products since this is the issue which conerns the common men,” JD-U spokesperson Sanjay Singh said on Friday.
He asked the PM to take urgent measures in this regard saying “desh behaal hai (the country is suffering)”.
Peroleum prices have touched new high in recent weeks, adding to the worry of the common men and farmers, and resulting in angry protests on the streets.
