PATNA: The result of Grade 12 examinations conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has stunned everyone in the state with majority of Plus-two schools putting up a disastrous performance this time.
As per reports, more than 1.24 million students from altogether 3,027 schools and colleges appeared at the exam. Out of these, none passed from as many as 654 institutions, the local media reported today.
The schools-colleges which put up disastrous performances are located in districts, such as Nalanda, Vaishali, Rohtas, Saharsa, Darbhanga, Purnia, Madhepura, Banka, Kaimur and Araria.
“We have no information about this although there is drop in result percentage,” BSEB chairman Anand Kishore told a local media today.
A huge 65 percent student failed the Grade 12 examination this year, the results of which were announced on Tuesday.
As per reports, a total of over 1.24 million students appeared at the examination this year but only 445,546 could clear the test whereas the rest 794,622 failed.
While only 30 percent passed the science stream, a little over 37 percent could emerge successful in arts stream. The commerce students, however, fared a little better with their pass percentage being around 74.
