Reports said initially the man tried to pacify the crying baby but he lost his cool when the baby began crying loudly unable to find his mother by his side. In a fit of rage, the man strangulated his baby to death and fell asleep once again.

Witnesses said when the mother returned home, she found the baby lying lifeless and began crying. The baby was soon rushed to the local hospital where the doctors declared him having brought dead.

Taking advantage of crowd of neighbours and hullabaloo in his home, the accused, however, quietly fled the scene.
