PATNA: After being shifted to the rather calm and comfortable ward of the hospital, RJD chief Lalu Prasad now wants Tava chapattis to relish.
Prasad who suffers from multiple health complications is currently admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) at Ranchi after his surrender before the CBI court last week.
“He doesn’t like breads being made from machine and wants Tava chapattis,” a hospital official told the local media on Thursday.
According to him, Prasad also loves to eat deeply fried, spicy vegetables. “But we are serving him less spicy food keeping in view his health conditions,” the official added.
Prasad was earlier troubled by the barking street dogs which forced him to pass sleepless night on the hospital bed but now he has been shifted to the more comfortable paying ward.
This followed soon after he complained earlier this week that the barking street dogs have been keeping him awake during night at the hospital after they go on barking the whole night. Prasad has been admitted to the hospital in Ranchi after his surrender before the court.
Prasad who is serving jail terms in three fodder scam cases has been diagnosed with at least 15 different kinds of disease which include Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, peri-anal abscess, cardiac problems and acute kidney injury.
Prasad surrendered before the court last week after the Jharkhand High Court rejected his plea for another extension of provisional bail on health grounds and instead asked him to surrender by August 30.
