Opposition conspiring to remove me from power, says PM Modi at Patna rally

PATNA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday appealed to the masses to give the NDA another chance so that he could bring India to new heights.

“The first five years were spent on laying the foundation of a new India. In the next term post 2019, we will bring the nation to new height in the 21th century,” Modi told a rally at Patna Gandhi Maidan, seeking for another term.

The rally nickenamed “Sankalp rally” was jointly organised by NDA for which all the three allies of the ruling national coalition pumped in all energy and the money to arrange crowd at the Gandhi Maidan to show their strength ahead of the upcoming LS polls.

In his lengthy and repetitive speech marred by rains, Modi hit out at the opposition parties for seeking proofs of the recent air strike at running terror camps in Pakistan’s Balakot saying such issues only demoralize the security forces.

“Earlier they (opposition parties) sought proof of surgical strike, now they are again seeking proof of recent air strike (at Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camp in Pakistan’s Balakot). Such statements only demoralize the armed forces engaged in defending the country,” he said.

He alleged the opposition is conspiring to remove him from the way. “I want to end terrorism but they want to end me instead,” he said.

He claimed the common masses are aware of this conspiracy and have made up their mind to teach the opposition a lesson again.
