‘People are taking Congress for granted,’ ex-Bihar chief Quadri says

PATNA: Congress leader Kaukab Quadri is shocked and shattered over his removal as the state party chief but claimed he would be working for the party even without post.

“Muslims have never been getting the due respect anywhere. The people have taken this community for granted,” Quadri told the media yesterday.

“Logon ko lagata hai alpsankhyak ka vote aakhir kahan jayega,” he said.

He said the party leadership should have refrained from making any experiment at a time when the Lok Sabha elections are approaching near adding the Muslim community was happy after he was given the responsibility of state party chief.

“I gave my 100 percent to the party,” Quadri claimed adding he could even work as a sweeper for the party.

“Kal ko yadi party ka aadesh hoga ki Sadaquat Ashram mein Jhadoo lagana hai to is kam ko bhi saharsh karenge,” he said.

Sadaquat Ashram is the state headquarters of the Congress party in Patna.
