Shortly after his release, however, he killed two persons identified as Md Shafiq and his cousin Md Gaddi. As per reports, Shafiq was found having illicit relationship with his wife which angered him much.

While he shot Shafid dead, his cousin was killed by getting drowned in a local pond.

The entire story came to light when the police scanned call details of Shafiq’s mobile. It was from here that the police reached Pawan’s wife who later spilled the beans, leading to arrest of the released prisoner again.

The state government has removed the jail superintendent Avinash Kumar Singh for the mess-up and hiding facts from the government.
