Salman changes film’s title after Bihar court orders to register case

PATNA: Bollywood star Salman Khan has changed the title of his movie after a Bihar court ordered to register a case against him.

Salman has changed the name of his home production film Loveratri to Loveyatri after the title controversy.

The 52-year-odl, took to twitter to announce the change of his film’s name. The picture starring Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain will hit the screen on October 5.

The name change followed soon after a local court in Bihar took cognizance of the case filed against him and then ordered to registered FIR against him.

The case was finally registered on Friday at the Mithanpura police station in Muzaffarpur district in pursuance of an order passed by Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (East) Shailendra Rai on September 12.

In his complaint, the petitioner Sudhir Kumar Ojha, a local layer, had drawn the attention of the court towards the title of Salman’s film wherein he alleged the title of the movie made fun of the holy festival of Navaratri.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP), a nationalist Hindu outfit, too objected to the move title “Loveratri”, which according to them, was distorting the meaning of Hindu festival Navratri.
