PATNA: Rebel JD-U MP Sharad Yadav is least bothered over the Election Commission rejecting his claim on party’s poll symbol and is planning to submit fresh petition to the poll panel with all relevant documents within a week to prove his claim.
“We are the real JD-U and will be proving it ultimately,” Yadav has told the media.
According to reports, the Sharad Yadav faction is likely to move the EC within a week.
In the meanwhile, he has announced to start his next phase of Bihar tour from September 25 to step up further attacks on chief minister Nitish Kumar.
During his four-day stay in Bihar, Yadav is expected to hold as many as 29 meetings in central Bihar’s districts.
Yesterday as well, he had hit out at the chief minister for taking a U-turn after forcing his rival Lalu Prasad to join hands and be a part of Grand Alliance.
“It was Nitish Kumar who always wanted a grand alliance in Bihar. Nitish ji went to Lalu ji a number of times, as he was not happy with the idea of alliance; he was not ready. Lalu ji got ready to become a part of alliance because of collective pressure and demand,” Yadav was quoted as saying by news agency ANI at a Press conference in Delhi.
According to Yadav, Lalu Prasad was already fighting several corruption cases when the alliance was formed.
“Now he (Nitish Kumar) says that he has taken a stand against corruption. I, through my entire life, have fought against corruption and anything which is illegitimate. Have you ever seen two different parties with contradictory manifestos coming together? That’s immoral,” asked Yadav.
