PATNA: AN Sinha Institute of Social Studies, one of the premier institutes of Patna which focuses on teaching and research in social sciences, celebrated its 6Oth Foundation Day today.
At a function organised on the occasion, Director of the institute Prof Sunil Ray informed the audience about role of social & political leaders and freedom fighters of Bihar in shaping the vision of the institution in the formative years.
He shared achievements of institutions in recent past that have increased visibility of the institute in the country and abroad.
Stressing upon the need of maintaining the tempo and heightening its scale he shared roadmap for transforming the institute as a “Centre of Excellence” in the Asian subcontinent in the light of vision of great freedom fighters of Bihar.
Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi stressed the need for social cohesion. “Culture has been the binding force of our nation. We need to strengthen elements of our shared culture,” he opined.
Education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma congratulated ANSISS for glorious history of excellence in social science research.
