PATNA: Which one is deadlier—snake or the woman?
This could an issue of debate but the snake died first after being bitten by a woman. Both had bitten each other almost at the same time.
The weird incident took place at Shampur village in Gopalganj district in India’s Bihar state, some 150 km north of Patna, on Saturday.
According to a report, a deadly snake bit Rajanti Devi while she was busy in her domestic works.
Hearing her cries, the family members caught the snake and asked her to bit it too. She did it, leaving it seriously wounded. It died soon thereafter.
This was done with the belief that it would lessen the impact of poison on the victim.
But as her condition deteriorated, the family members rushed her to a local hospital along with the dead snake in a bag but the victim died soon thereafter.
Subsequently, the family left the hospital with the body of the victim, leaving behind the dead snake on the doctor’s table. Later the hospital staffs cleared the table.
