PATNA: This is another bad news for Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly Tejashwi Yadav has now formally announced to undertake “Srijan ghotala yatra” (Srijan scam tour) of the state from tomorrow before holding a massive rally in Bhagalpur on September 10.
The rally is scheduled to be held in Sabour block of Bhagalpur where is located the head office of NGO Srijan accused of pilfering government fund to the tune of over Rs 1,300 crores.

Last month, Tejashwi was not allowed to hold a rally there and was sent back home as the authorities imposed enforced prohibitory orders in the areas just before the rally was to start.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the multi-million NGO scam, considered to be the second biggest financial fraud in Bihar after the fodder scam, has in the meanwhile picked up momentum after the CBI took over the case.
Last week, a team of CBI officials conducted raids at the office of the NGO in Sabour block of Bhagalpur and seized 25 registers, as per media reports. They also quizzed some staffs of the NGO running cooperative banks.
So far, the CBI has registered 10 cases in connection with the scam and is quizzing the officials from various government departments and banks.
The scam involves transfer of huge government money to the account of a Non-Government Organsiation (NGO) in alleged connivance with the officials holding key positions.
The CBI has registered the case against Manorama Devi, former director (now dead) of Bhagalpur-based NGO, officials of Bank of Baroda and head assistant of the land Acquisition office in Saharsa district, as per the report. The accused persons have been booked for criminal conspiracy, cheating, cheating by impersonation and breach of trust.
