Tejashwi questions silence of Nitish over land grab case, dares to break alliance with BJP

PATNA: Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav today mounted heavy attacks on chief minister Nitish Kumar over his silence in the land grabbing case in which union minister Giriraj Singh has been made one of the accused.

Singh, a senior leader from the BJP which is a coalition partner in the ruling NDA government in Bihar headed by Kumar, holds the portfolio of micro, small and medium enterprises in the Narendra Modi government.

“Nitishji, Your dearest friend Giriraj Singh has grabbed three acres of land belonging to the poor. Will you break the alliance (with the BJP)? Will you resign? Where have gone your morality?” Tejashwi tweeted today.

His tweet was an obvious dig at Kumar who resigned as chief minister in last July after the CBI registered a case against Tejashwi Yadav in land-for-railway hotels scandal. Tejashwi was then the deputy chief minister in the government then.

Not only that, the chief minister had also walked out of the three-party Grand Alliance and formed government with the BJP.

“Will you resign now? Will you move out of alliance with BJP now? Where has your morality vanished now? Do you have any answer?” Tejashwi said in a series of tweets today.

He also attacked the deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi for keeping silence over the issue.

“Where are you, master of disclosures and rumours Sushil Modi? Your favorite Union minister Giriraj Singh has grabbed land belonging to Dalits. Why is SuMo keeping quiet? Do you have a share in the land?” Yadav asked in another tweet.
