PATNA: Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday launched a blistering attack on UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath for terming Lord Hanuman, a prominent Hindu god, as “Dalit”.
“Before naming the caste of Hanumanji, UP chief minister must reveal the caste of chief minister of 19 BJP-ruled States,” Tejashwi tweeted today.
He wondered over the way none of the BJP chief ministers come from the Dalit community.
“No chief minister from the Dalit community means the BJP doesn’t respect Lord Hanuman. Very shameful!” Tejashiw tweeted.

Yogi has come under fire after describing the prominent Hindi deity as “Dalit” in one of the BJP rallies he addressed in Rajasthan on Tuesday.
Taking the matter seriously, Rajasthan Brahmin Mahasabha has served a legal notice on the UP CM, asking him to tender public apology within three days.
“Lord Hanuman is worshiped across the globe by the Hindus, and terming as Dalit is very shameful,” Sarv Brahmin Samaj’s national president Suresh Mishra told the media today.
