PATNA: Angry villagers protested on the streets on Thursday after another Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) leader was killed in Bihar.
The incident took place in east Champaran district on Wednesday evening.
Reports said the victim Premchandra Kushwaha was returning home on his bike in the evening when unidentified miscreants thrashed him badly before shooting him dead.
The victim was working as the Pakaridayal block chief of RLSP which is headed by Union minister Upendra Kushwaha.
In the middle of this month, Paliganj block chief of the party Amit Bhushan Verma had been killed by miscreants in Patna.
Kushwaha condemned the killing of his party leader while mocking the prevailing “sushasan” (good governance) in the state.
This is said to be the fifth killing of RLSP leaders in Bihar in the past eight months.
The RLSP currently is not best of terms with the either JD-U of chief minister Nitsih Kumar or the BJP, and looks close to getting out of the NDA.
