The man went up in flames soon as the villagers had doused him with highly inflammable liquid, reports said.
The victim, a father of two children, had recently fallen in love with a woman from his village and then fled with her. His new love too is married and the man has not given divorce to his first wife.
When the couple was recently arrested and produced in the local court, the woman expressed her wish to stay with her lover after which they started living together.
But the incident angered the local villagers who caught the man on Sunday and beat him up badly with bamboo sticks and rods before burning him alive, leading to his death.
