PATNA: The ruling NDA looks heading for fresh trouble with another ally serving a warning to the BJP over delay in the finalising the seat-sharing deal.
The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) which is headed by union minister Ram Vilas Paswan served the warning on Tuesday saying any delay in finalizing the seat-sharing issue could prove disastrous.
“Several meetings were held with the BJP leaders over seat sharing in the alliance but this still remains to be unresolved. If this was not solved on time, then it could be damaging,” LJP parliamentary board chairman Chirag Paswan said in a tweet.
He added the NDA is already passing through critical phase after the TDP and the RSLP led by Upendra Kushwaha dumping the ruling national alliance.
He asked the BJP leadership to treat the remaining allies with respect.
The Congress said the NDA is fast heading towards disintegration. “We had told you the NDA will disintegrate after results of assembly elections to three states. And, it’s moving in that direction,” Congress spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra said.
